The name of a pedestrian who died after being struck by a vehicle early Monday has been released.
Christopher Malloy, 23, of Zumbrota was struck by an automobile a few miles south of Le Center as he walkied along Highway 99 at its intersection with Le Sueur County Road 112, about midnight. He was struck by a westbound 2005 Ford Focus driven by Richard R. Becker, 59, of Minnesota Lake.
The road was icy, but was not a factor, the patrol said.
