Fire destroyed an outbuilding Monday that housed machinery at a farm four miles north of Wells. Firefighters responded to a call to the Donald Chirpich farm about 10 a.m. Monday and had the fire under control in about four hours. Wells Fire Chief Mike Pyzick said there were no injuries and the fire probably originated in combustible organic material, including turkey manure, stored in the building.
