Pedestrians hit by Fun Days parade vehicles

NORTH MANKATO — Two parade-goers were injured during the North Mankato Fun Days parade Saturday morning when two parade vehicles went into the crowd, said North Mankato Police Chief Chris Boyer.

Boyer said the vehicles were small Corvettes in the Classic Car Club that collided and veered into the crowd lining the streets on Belgrade Avenue. An 11-year-old and a 23-year-old were taken by ambulance to Mayo Clinic Health System and were treated and released.

The parade continued on around the accident.

No one was cited or charged in connection with the collision, Boyer said.
