— March can be a fickle month in Minnesota when it comes to weather. It can be 80 degrees outside, or 8. Every form of precipitation known to man can fall from the sky in March, from major snowstorms, rain, wind and sleet to even thunderstorms.
Last week was no exception. Warm sunshine gave way to clouds and the biggest snowfall of the year. The encore was Saturday’s rain eroding all that snow and ice away. For those who are sick of winter’s chill the rain is a welcome sign that spring isn’t far away.
For those still hoping to sneak in one last ice fishing trip or one last run down the slopes the rain definitely dampened their spirits.
