MANKATO —
Bremer Bank, a privately held, $7.6 billion regional financial services company jointly owned by its employees and the Otto Bremer Foundation, will open a new bank in Mankato next year.
“Bremer selected Mankato because it is a robust, growth community that serves as a regional hub,” Greg Hilding, group president said in a statement.
Brad Peters has been selected to lead Bremer’s new Mankato location. Peters is a Mankato native and spent 15 years working for a national bank where he served as president of the bank in Owatonna and as business banking manager for all of south-central Minnesota.
The new branch will be at the intersection of Raintree Road and North Victory Drive. The bank has signed a purchase agreement for the land and is working through final details on the project. A groundbreaking ceremony will be scheduled for this fall.
When completed, the new bank will offer more than 8,500 square feet and will include multiple drive-up lanes and a drive-up ATM. The new bank will employ nearly 20 people and offer a full-range of services.
