Courtland semi stolen on Texas trip, found in Waco

COURTLAND — A stolen semi tractor belonging to a Courtland trucking business was recovered Tuesday night in Waco, Texas.

As of Wednesday morning, authorities had not yet located the person who is suspected of taking the $30,000 vehicle.

Nicollet County deputies said an American Midwest Transportation tractor-trailer carrying dried goods was set for delivery Tuesday but never arrived at its destination in Garland, Texas.

The trailer and its contents were recovered after being tracked to Waco. The tractor was later found at a Waco truck stop.

The Nicollet County Sheriff’s Office is requesting charges with the county attorney’s office.
