North Mankato-based Taylor Corp has acquired Venture Encoding of Fort Worth, Texas.
Venture will be merged into Corporate Graphics Direct Marketing Solutions, a Taylor affiliate based in Arden Hills, with the new company carrying the name Venture Solutions Inc.
Taylor Corp. also said Monday that it and its affiliate The Occasions Group reached an agreement to acquire CardsDirect of Dallas, Texas.
CardsDirect, a catalog and Internet-based card company, will continue to carry its brand name, website and offering in the marketplace.
Venture Encoding, founded in 1972, provides loan servicing communications and marketing to large financial organizations.
Taylor’s Arden Hills-based corporate graphics unit now serves Fortune 1,000 companies in regulated markets, including financial services, insurance and healthcare in need of custom data processing, digital printing and interactive development.
But payment and loan servicing communications is a new area for the Taylor corporate graphics unit.
“As Taylor continues to evolve to meet the changing needs of its customers, Venture aligns very well with our corporate growth strategy centered on customer communications in compliance-driven markets such as financial services,” said Glen Taylor, Taylor Corp. CEO.
The new company will carry the name Venture Solutions.
Taylor Corp. has more than 80 affiliated companies and 9,000 employees across North America, China and Europe.
The deal has already closed. Terms were not disclosed.
Taylor Corporation is one of the largest privately held companies in the United States and is one of the top 10 graphic communications providers, as well as having the largest digital print platform in North America.
