Three arrested after party burglary

One man chased by several victims

MANKATO — After receiving a report of a burglary at an apartment in the 1300 block of Warren Street at about 3:10 a.m. Sunday, a police officer arrived to find a suspect being chased by a group of people in the area.

That suspect and another man were arrested after the group giving chase identified them as two of three men who had crashed a party and stolen electronics. A stolen laptop computer and a cell phone were allegedly found with the suspects, a Mankato Department of Public Safety report said.

The victims, who were actually attending parties in two different apartments at the Warren Street building, told police there was a third person involved, the report said. That suspect was arrested a short time later after an officer noticed he was in the area and acting suspicious.

The first two men arrested were Chol Lero Olok, 22, of Mankato and Jeremiah Okang Nyikew, 18, of Austin. The third man arrested was 19-year-old Olok Lero Olok of Mankato. They were taken to the Blue Earth County Jail. Felony charges related to first-degree burglary and theft were requested, the report said.
