— Oh, it was good to be a football fan in southern Minnesota Saturday.
First, Minnesota State University won a double-overtime thriller in a Super Region 3 semi-final game at Blakeslee Stadium over Northwest Missouri State, 38-35.
And on a high school level, Blue Earth Area captured the Class AAA State High School Football Championship by defeating Rochester Lourdes, 30-7, at the Metrodome.
Here’s to hoping that the Vikings can complete the hat trick this afternoon with a win over Chicago.
