MANKATO —
Mary V. Anderson, age 94, of Mankato died Wednesday, April 28, 2010, at Mankato House Health Care Center.
Services will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 1 at Woodland Hills Chapel. Visitation is 5 to 7 p.m., Friday at Woodland Hills Funeral Home and continues one hour prior to the service on Saturday. Interment will be in Woodland Hills Memorial Park. Memorials preferred to Salvation Army, tpt (Public Television) or VINE.
Mary was born September 18, 1915, in Mankato, MN, to Carl Gustav and Justina (Anderson) Carlstrom. She attended Mankato Teachers College. On July 15, 1938, she married Harold Anderson in Mankato. Mary was a homemaker and taught elementary school for 2 years. In her leisure times, Mary enjoyed golfing, gardening, baking, politics, Vikings and bridge. She was a member of Belgrade Avenue United Methodist Church and Mankato Golf Club.
Mary is survived by her son, Scott Anderson of Sacramento, CA; daughters, Judy Trepka of Woodbury and Jean Wolf of St. Paul; grandchildren, Andrew and Michael Wolf, Matthew and David Anderson, Jim Trepka, Mary Jo Trepka and Carolyn Walling; 6 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold R. Anderson.
