  Cody K. Flitter, age 27 of St. Clair, formerly of Janesville, died on Thursday, June14, 2012 in Waseca County, as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

  Private family services will be held at a later date. In Cody's memory, memorials may be given for the benefit of his son, to the Carsten Flitter Memorial Fund c/o Arnoldt-McRaith Funeral Home (P.O. Box 438, Janesville, Minnesota 56048).

  Cody Kenneth was born on March 17, 1985 in Mankato, Minnesota to Lowell and Nancy (Zimmerman) Flitter. He was baptized June 1, 1985 and confirmed March 28, 1999, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Janesville. Cody attended Janesville Schools, and graduated from Mankato's Riverbend Academy in 2005. During his high school years he worked for Minnesota Elevator Co. in St. Clair. Following high school he began his career working with his father at C.A.B. Construction in Mankato. He then worked for Mitch Hanson Construction in St. Peter, and later M.C.C. of Rockford. For the last three years Cody has worked, and continued his training and education, as a member of the Ironworkers Union #512.  Cody loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing, and riding his motorcycle. He enjoyed working on trucks and cars with his dad, doing carpentry work, and volunteering at McGowan Farms near Mankato. He most enjoyed time spent with Carsten and Brenna.

  He is survived by his parents, Lowell and Nancy Flitter of Janesville; by his children, Carsten and Brenna, and their mother Amanda Bruender of St. Clair; by his brother, Brett of Janesville and his sister, Stacey (Chad) Tweedt of Jackson; by his paternal grandmother, Gloria Flitter and maternal grandmother, Mary Zimmerman, of Janesville; by many aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.

  He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Orville "Oz" Flitter and maternal grandfather, Herbert Zimmerman, and his uncle, Greg Zimmerman.
