Ramona June Schlingmann

   Ramona June Schlingmann, age 85, of Mankato, passed away peacefully early on the morning of February 12, 2013, at Pathstone Living.

  Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., Saturday, February 16, 2013, at Landkamer Johnson-Boman Funeral Home in Mankato.  Private family burial will be held at Woodland Hills Memorial Park in Mankato following the visitation.  Ramona's family requests that no flowers be sent and that memorials may be given to Mayo Clinic Health System  - Mankato Hospice or to the donor's choice.

  Ramona was born on June 9, 1927, in Butterfield to Ewald and Anna (Hammer) Ewy.  The family moved to Mankato where she met and married her husband, Everett W. Schlingmann on June 2, 1946.  Ev and Monie lived most of their 65 years together in the Mankato area.

  Ramona is survived by her three sons: Jeff (Sharon) Schlingmann of St. Cloud, Dave (Vickie O'Connell) Schlingmann of Mankato, and Don (Mary) Schlingmann of Apple Valley; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one brother, Charles Ewy of Cockeysville, MD; and several nephews and cousins.

  She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Ev in 2011.

  A special thank you is extended to Dr. Rath, Mayo Hospice, and the staff of Pathstone Crossing.
