Jeanette L. Griffin-Abraham

—   Jeanette L. Griffin-Abraham, age 59 of Janesville, died Thursday, March 14, 2013 at Mayo Health System-Mankato.

  Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 20th at 1:00 P.M. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Janesville, with Rev. Dr. Larry Griffin officiating. Interment will be in the Alma City Cemetery.

  Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4 to 8 P.M. at Arnoldt-McRaith Funeral Home & Crematory in Janesville, and will continue on Wednesday afternoon for one hour prior to services, at church.

  Jeanette Lavon was born on May 5, 1953 to Charles and Blanch (Quade) Griffin in Mankato, Minnesota. She attended Janesville High School. On April 14, 1973 she was united in marriage to Richard Shoultz in Mankato, Minnesota. Jeanette and Richard lived for a short time in Mankato before moving to Willmar, then later to Paynesville where she was employed as a nurse's aide for the Paynesville Hospital. They later divorced. In 1989 she moved her family back to the Janesville area. She was confirmed on December 11, 1993 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Janesville, by Rev. Dr. Larry Griffin, and was a longtime member of the church. On September 7, 2002 she was united in marriage to Wilbert "Willie" Abraham at Trinity Lutheran Church in Janesville. After Willie's death on September 25, 2010, Jeanette continued to reside in Janesville to be near her family. She enjoyed gardening and her dogs Tator and Gabby. Jeanette loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

  She is survived by her children, Taff (Heather Tolzman) Shoultz of Janesville, Trevor (Stephanie) Shoultz of Janesville, and Tessie (James) Splett of Cleveland; her six special grandchildren, Jersi Shoultz, Allie Shoultz, Travyn Shoultz, Allissa Shoultz, Madison Shoultz and Alyna Shoultz; brothers Eugene (Jane) Griffin of Good Thunder, and Kelly Griffin of Crosby; sisters Bonita (Charlie) Mitchell of Waseca, and Sheila (Larry) Hogetvedt of Waseca; brother-in-law Chick (Laurie) Abraham of Janesville; special friend Lori Daschner of Janesville; by many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wilbert "Willie" Abraham on September 25, 2010; brother-in-law, Wendall Abraham on October 8, 2010.
