Michelle M. Hubmer Larsen

— Michelle Marie Hubmer Larsen, age 42, of St. Clair, died Sunday, November 4, 2012, in Jordan.

  Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, November 9, 2012, at Hilltop United Methodist Church in Mankato, with Rev. Fred Vanderwerf officiating.  Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. on Thursday at Mankato Mortuary, and continues one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.  Interment will be in St. John Cemetery in St. Clair.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the St. Clair Public School.

  Michelle was born on April 14, 1970, in Mankato to Duane and Gloria (Thorn) Hubmer.  She was a 1988 graduate of St. Clair High School and a 1997 graduate of Winona State University.  Michelle was united in marriage to Kevin Larsen on September 7, 1996, in St. Clair.  She was employed with IBM since 1999.  Michelle was a past member of Zion United Methodist Church in St. Clair, where she was active in teaching Sunday school.  She enjoyed reading, shopping for purses, stationary, and organizing.  And she loved spending time with, and taking care of her family.

  Michelle is survived by her husband, Kevin of St. Clair; daughter, Allison; parents, Duane and Gloria Thorn Hubmer of St. Clair; sister, Melissa (Tom) Herman and their children, Nathan and Elizabeth of Belle Plaine; brother, Marcus (Melissa) Hubmer and their daughter, Wren of Lakeville; maternal grandmother, Lillian Thorn of North Mankato; also aunts, uncles, cousins, other family and friends.

  She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Ray Thorn Sr. and paternal grandparents, Pershing and June Hubmer.
