Marion L. Christiansen of Mankato died Friday, May 4, 2012, at Mayo Clinic
Health System-Mankato.
Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 8, 2012, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Mankato. Visitation will be two hours prior to service at the church. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Mankato.
Memorials may be given to Bethlehem Lutheran Church or to an organization of the donor's choice. Mankato Mortuary is handling the arrangements
Marion was born on February 4, 1924, in Springfield to Roy and Rose (Isaksen) Gould. She attended school in Springfield and later the McPhail
School of Music in Minneapolis. Marion was united in marriage to Jack L. Christiansen on January 9, 1947, in Mankato. She was a homemaker for her family. Marion was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Mankato. She enjoyed cross-stitching, reading, ceramics, and playing the piano.
Marion is survived by her husband, Jack of Mankato; daughter, Connie (Arlen) Ketelsen of West Des Moines, IA; son, Chuck (Marilyn) Christiansen of St. Peter; grandchildren, Jessica (David) Schwerzler, Aaron Ketelsen, Chad Christiansen, and Alex Christiansen.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Rose.
