SrA Joseph Tyler Keller

  SrA Joseph Tyler Keller, age 21, of Amboy/St. Peter, died on Saturday, December 22, 2012, in Rapid City, SD.

  A memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 3 at 2:00 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in St. Peter with Rev. Charles Christensen officiating.  Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. at Mankato Mortuary.

  Joe was born on June 24, 1991, in Burnsville.  He graduated from Maple River High School in 2009.  He enlisted in the United States Air Force on July 28, 2009, and completed his basic training at Lackland AFB, TX.  After attending Technical Training School at Ft. Leonard Wood, MO, he was stationed at Aviano AB, Italy for two years.  He was currently stationed at Ellsworth AFB, SD.  Joe enjoyed deer hunting, trap shooting, and camping.  He loved spending time at the lake and hanging out with friends and family.  He enjoyed video games and playing cards.  He was always found wrestling with his brothers.  Joe was the most caring and generous person.  He was easy going and would do anything for anybody.  Joe always had a smile.

  Joe is survived by his father, Mike Keller of St. Peter; mother Tami (Joel) Caldwell of Amboy; two brothers, Cody Keller of Beale AFB, Sacramento and Matt Keller of Amboy; step-brothers, Brad Caldwell of VA, Tyler Caldwell of Minneapolis, Colten Caldwell of Fargo, and Logan Caldwell of Amboy; niece, Ally Caldwell; grandparents, Skip (Dorothy) Keller, Jane (John) Brown, and Arden (Doris) Caldwell; great-grandma, Maurine Lutteke; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.  He was preceded in death by his grandpa, Gordon Lutteke.
