Beverlee Ann (Frederick) Homer

—   Beverlee Ann (Frederick) Homer, age 86, longtime resident of North Mankato, died Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at Pathstone Living in Mankato. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 3, 2013 at the Woodland Hills Funeral Chapel in Mankato. Visitation will be one hour before the service. Interment will be in Woodland Hills Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to Hospice or donors choice.

  Beverlee was born September 1, 1927 to Walter J. and Minnie Mae (Vandervelde) Frederick in Emmetsburg, IA. She married Walter Homer, January 22, 1948 in Emmetsburg, IA. Bev was a homemaker and worked various jobs to help support the family. She enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren whether they were able to visit or kept in touch through cards and pictures. Throughout the years, Bev was an avid reader; she mastered knitting and hardanger as well as other crafts. She was a member of Belgrade Ave. United Methodist Church, Circle 8 Dance Club and the Knuckleheads. She enjoyed travel, venturing to Texas then later to Arizona for winters.

  Bev is survived by chidren, Terry (Teri Jean), Bob (Pam), Chuck (Becky) all of North Mankato and Bill (Lou) of Mankato; Vickie (Gil) Padilla of Albuquerque, NM; grandchildren, Mindy (Justin), Kelly (Tate), Amy, Mike (Angela), Nick, Andrew, Jeff (Beth), Bobby (Malin), Danny (Luke); great grandchildren, Perry, Ethan, Hunter, Gabriel, Sebastian, Amelia, Nora and Morgan;  sisters, Dorothy Zeck and Florence Lohman; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Walter, parents, grandson, brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws.
