Frank Ellesmere

—   Frank Ellesmere, age 76, of Mankato, died suddenly Friday, December 28, 2012, at Mayo Clinic Health System-Mankato.

  A memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, January 3, 2013, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Mankato Mortuary.  Burial will be in Lakewood Cemetery at a later date.  Mankato Mortuary is assisting with arrangements.

   Frank was born on February 12, 1936, in Liverpool, UK, to Victor and Ann Ellesmere.  He was a proud member of the Royal Air Force.  Frank was united in marriage to Linda McGraw on August 27, 1987, in the Normandale Japanese Garden in Bloomington, MN.  He worked for Control Data for more than 20 years and ISJ/MCSH-Mankato Hospital from 1987 until he retired.  Frank was a member of the Prior Lake and Mankato Lions, along with being a Hamm Radio Operator.  He enjoyed golf and making golf clubs.

  Frank is survived by his loving wife, Linda; daughter, Julie (Chris) Hopkins; son, David Ellesmere; step-daughter, Kelleen (Joe) Trauger; step-son, Christopher (Kristin) McGraw; five grandchildren, Connor and Brittany Hopkins, Kirsten and Marin Trauger, Teddy McGraw; three sisters, Sylvia, Rosemarie, and Susan; brother, Noel; and former wife, Rosemary Woolner.

  Frank was preceded in death by his parents and infant sister, Charlotte.

   His mother always said, Frank was the star of her crown.
