Dale Stanley Huffman, 69, from Amboy, MN, passed away on Tuesday Jan 8 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester after a short illness.
Dale was born Oct 21, 1943, to Leonard and Julia (Detwyler) Huffman in Winnebago. Dale lived his entire life on the family farm. He served in the army from 1965-1967, and the Army Reserves from 1967-1971. He earned a National Defense Service Medal for sharpshooter. After the service, Dale worked as an ironworker until his retirement in 2008. he was a member of the Iron Workers International Union.
Dale loved the outdoors and spent most of his summer at his camper up north. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending time with family most of all.
Dale is survived by 2 sisters, Melva Hadlock in Colorado Springs, Co, and Marcella and her husband Bill Betz in Woodbridge, Va. And many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Viola, and his brothers, Wayne and Orlo.
Dale requested no funeral. Arrangements were made by Bayview Funeral Home in Albert Lea. Cards or memorials can be sent to the family through them.
Dale was very much loved and will be missed by many.
