Lyle Schumacher

—   Lyle Schumacher, age 65, of North Mankato, died Friday, January 25, 2013 at Mayo Clinic Health System - Mankato.  Memorial services will be held at 5:30 PM on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at Woodland Hills Chapel in Mankato with Chaplain Jerry David, officiating.  Visitation will be 2 hours prior to the service.  The family invites everyone to join them at the Red Men Club, 412 S 3rd St, in St. Peter after the service to share stories and remember Lyle. Interment will be at Woodland Hills Memorial Park at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the donor's choice.

  Lyle was born February 16, 1947 in Mankato, MN to Henry and Ruth (Gehl) Schumacher.  He graduated from Wilson High School in 1965 and Minnesota State - Mankato in 1969 with a B.A. in Industrial Arts.  He taught at Wilson High for 2 years but mostly worked as a masonry contractor for over 45 years. He enjoyed doing many things but most of all loved to golf.  Lyle was a member of Red Men Club of St. Peter, MN, National Cushman Club, and the Nicollet Conservation Club.

  Lyle is survived by his brother, Loren of Elk River, MN; nephews, Jeff (Erica) Schumacher of St. Paul and Kevin Schumacher of St. Paul; great niece, Emma Schumacher; many cousins.  He was preceded in death by his parents, nephew, Eric and sister-in-law, Lisa.
