Verana Kopischke

— Verana Kopischke, the daughter of Herbert and Wanda Steinberg Morsching, was born on February 6, 1916, near Waterville, MN.  She grew up on the farm and attended country school. Verana was united in marriage to Wilmer "Bill" Kopischke on September 22, 1935, at St. Peters Lutheran "Bell" Church rural Waterville.  After their marriage they lived and farmed near Waterville.  In 1955 they moved to Fulda, MN, where they owned and operated Bill's Mobil Station.  Verana worked as the Head cook at the Fulda High School for a number of years before working at Campbell's in Worthington for 16 years.  Bill passed away in January of 1988.  Verana remained at home until moving to the Maple View Estates in Fulda. Verana entered the Maple Lawn Nursing Home in Fulda on January 15, 2013, and passed away there on Thursday, February 14, 2013 at the age of 97.  She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Fulda where she was active with the Ladies Aid and Lutheran Women's Missionary League.  She enjoyed embroidery, gardening, fishing and spending time with her family.

  Survivors include her three children, Gloria Schuett of Mapleton, MN, Wilma Kay (Glen) Gunderman of Fulda, MN, and Douglas Kopischke of Mapleton, MN; 8 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren and brother, Herbert (Patricia) Morsching of Woodbury, MN.  She is preceded in death by her parents. Husband, brother, Alfred Morsching, sister, Clara Sotebeer, sons-in-law, James Schwartz and Roger Schuett and daughter-in-law, Geneil Kopischke.

    Funeral Services:

St. Paul's Lutheran Church Fulda, MN, at 11:00 AM on Monday, February 18, 2013, with the Rev. Shawn Ethridge officiating. Interment at the Janesville Cemetery Janesville, MN.

  Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 AM Monday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Fulda.  The Totzke Funeral Home in Fulda is assisting the family with arrangements.  Sign guestbook online at www.totzkefuneralhome.com.
