Dale Lacher

—   Dale Lacher, age 69, of Wells, MN, died Saturday, November 17, 2012, at his home of a lengthy illness in Wells, MN, surrounded by his family.  Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, November 21, 2012, at 10:30 AM at the United Methodist Church in Wells, MN. Visitation will be held Tuesday, from 4:00-7:00 PM at Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells, and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church. Pastor Paul Woolverton will officiate and burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery in Wells following the service. Please see www.brussheitner.com to leave online condolences. Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells, MN, is in charge of arrangements.

    Dale was born April 1, 1943, the son of William and Mabel (Claus) Lacher.  Dale was united in marriage to Sharon Elmer on March 6, 1965, in Wells, MN.  

    Dale worked at Larson Ford Garage in Wells.  He then went to work in the canning room at Del Monte Canning Company 25 years where he was also supervisor.  Dale worked in the Catalog Division of Carlson Craft in North Mankato for over 10 years.  He enjoyed fishing, smoking meats and barbequing.  He loved his grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  Dale would often go to Scheels for coffee with his grandchildren. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Wells. Dale was also a long time Scout leader.

    Dale is survived by his wife: Sharon Lacher of Wells; 2 sons: Mark (wife Michelle) Lacher of Wells; Craig (wife Katie) Lacher of Mankato; 5 grandchildren:  Ryan, Taylor, Sydney, Jackson, Lainey; a sister:  Willma Johnson of Wells and many nieces and nephews and their families.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Howard, sister LaVonne (Carlyle) Lent, brother-in-law Robert Johnson, and nephew Gary Johnson.
