Mary Catherine Simonette, 80, of Maple Plain, originally of Montgomery, died Sunday, June 24, 2012 at Elim Nursing Home in Watertown.
Mary was born on September 6, 1931 in Montgomery to William and Anna (Shima) Bauer.
She married Roger Simonette on May 16, 1950 in Montgomery at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. Mary worked at Central Health Care in Le Center for many years. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, crosswords, playing cards gardening, and watching and caring for animals.
Visitation, Wednesday, June 27, 2012 from 9 am- 11 am, at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Montgomery. Funeral Mass will also be at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church on Wednesday at 11 am. Burial will be at Fort Snelling on Thursday.
Mary is survived by children; Bill (and Josie) Simonette of Mankato, Julie (and Duane) Anderson of Waconia, Mary (and John) Gehrke of St. Peter, Carrie Simonette (and Jim Roseland) of Hutchinson, and Chris (and Louise) Simonette of Henderson, 16 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Roger, daughter Patricia, 2 children in infancy, great-granddaughter Emma Jean Rae and sister Annabelle Pan.
