Susan M McDonough

—   Susan M McDonough, 66, passed away on July 6th, along with her granddaughter, Zoe McDonough, after a tragic accident while vacationing with family in Tennessee.

  Sue was a lifelong resident of New Richland, where everyone knew her as a kind, thoughtful, loving and generous friend.  Sue had many friends through her involvement with her church, the local food shelf, the New Richland Care Center and her part-time job at the consignment store.  She loved traveling, shopping, reading, walking, but she especially cherished time with her family and her grandchildren.   Sue was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

  Sue is survived by her husband of 47 wonderful years , Mike McDonough; her sister, Lorene (Karl) Kampf of Blue Earth, MN, brother Loren (Lee) Peterson of Sun City, AZ; her children, Todd McDonough of Iowa, Brett (Leah) McDonough of Chattanooga, TN, Jennifer (Michael) Vetsch of Owatonna, and grandchildren Steven, Jimmy, Fawn, Anna, Abby, Averi, Corbin and Siri.   She was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd & Mabel Peterson, and her beloved son, Jason McDonough.   

   Visitation will be held on Friday, July 13, 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Bonnerup Funeral Home in New Richland.  Funeral services for Sue and her granddaughter, Zoe, will be held on Saturday, July 14th at 2 p.m. at Vista Lutheran Church, New Richland.
