Jean A. Ferry, age 84 of Waseca, died Thursday, September 13, 2012 at Colony Court Memory Care in Waseca.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 22nd at 11:30 AM at Faith United Methodist Church in Waseca with Reverend Victor Waters, officiating. Interment will be in Waseca's Woodville Cemetery following services.
Visitation will be held on Saturday morning from 9:30 to 11:30 AM prior to the service at Faith United Methodist Church. McRaith Funeral Home & Crematory of Waseca is handling arrangements. Memorials in Jean's memory may be sent to: Bruce Ferry, 2308 Standridge Ave, Maplewood, MN 55109.
Jean was born February 25, 1929 in Otisco Township, Waseca County, Minnesota to Arthur and Alveda (Johnson) Palm. She attended elementary school district 22 in Waseca County and graduated from New Richland High School in 1945. Jean married Gerald Ferry on November 24, 1947. She was a longtime, faithful member of Faith United Methodist Church in Waseca.
She is survived by her son, Bruce (Jean) Ferry of Maplewood; by three grandchildren, Holly (Ron), Heather and Ryan; two great granddaughters, Madison and Kaitlyn, and her great grandson, Mitchell; sister, Hazel Bethke of Waseca, and sister-in-law, JoAnn Palm of Waseca, and by nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald on November 29, 2010; brothers, Kenneth Palm and Richard Palm; brother-in-law, Wallace Bethke, and sister-in-law, Marjorie Palm; nieces and nephews, cousins, and a great granddaughter.
