DeWayne Richard "Bob" Hannaman

—  DeWayne Richard "Bob" Hannaman, 80, Mankato, died Saturday, November 3, 2012, at his home.  Funeral Service will be held 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, November 7, 2012 ,at St. Mark's Lutheran Church.  Visitation will be held 4 - 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 6, 2012, at Woodland Hills Funeral Home.  Interment will be at Woodland Hills Memorial Park.

  DeWayne was born July 8, 1932, to Emil and Leona (Swingdoff) Hannaman in Jo Davis Township near Guckeen, MN.  He graduated from Mankato High School.  DeWayne served in the United States Army in France, honorably discharged in 1955.  He was united in marriage to Noreen Johnson on May 10, 1957, at St. Mark's Lutheran Church.  He worked at Automatic Electric until 1960.   He began working at MN Dot starting in Crookston and then later transferred back to Mankato where he completed his 32 years before retiring in July 1992.  In his free time he enjoyed hunting with his sons and grandsons, fishing, woodworking, gardening, traveling extensively with his family, was a handyman, and especially spending time with his grandchildren.  DeWayne is a charter member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, a lifelong member of the American Legion, and served as a Former Church Council Member and Usher.

  He is survived by his wife, Noreen Hannaman; sons, Robert (Tammy) Hannaman of Farmington and James (fianc Amy Thiem) of St. Clair; grandchildren, Charlie, Joe, Tom, Ellie, Will, Morgan, Jada, Macy, and Ava; special brother in law, Gene (Betty) Johnson of Forest City, IA; many friends: and special dog, Lucy.

 DeWayne is preceded in death by his parents.
