Glenn Curtis was born on December 3, 1913, on a farm near Huron, South Dakota, to Thomas and Florence Rand Curtis. Glenn grew up on the family farm and attended school in Huron and later attended Agricultural School in Brookings, SD. In 1931 the family moved to Murray County, MN. On June 14, 1937, he and Mary West were married at St. Ann's Church in Slayton. Following their marriage they farmed various properties around the Slayton area. During this time, Glenn also worked various other jobs to include being a city police officer. In 1958, he began working for Murray County Co-Op delivering bulk fuel until his retirement in 1978. Following a sudden stroke Glenn spent the last two weeks at the Ambassador Good Samaritan Center in New Hope, MN. Glenn passed away there on March 4, 2013, at the age of 99. He was a member of St. Ann's Church in Slayton. Glenn enjoyed road trips to visit family members, watching old westerns and the Minnesota Twins, target shooting, playing 500, and shooting pool.
