Mavis Paul

—   Mavis Paul, age 94 of St. Peter died on Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at Ecumen Sand Prairie, surrounded by her family.

  Funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm on Thursday, July 19, 2012 at St. Peter Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at 1:00 pm Friday in the Callender City Cemetery, in Callender Iowa.

  Mavis was born on December 31, 1917 in Webb, Iowa to Henry and Ella (Beckly) Doan. In 1937, she was united in marriage to Marlo R. Wing in Ft. Dodge, Iowa. They made their home in Ft. Dodge and Mavis worked for 19 years as the District Secretary for Safeway. Mavis was a 60 year member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah. She was a talented artist as well as creating and teaching ceramics.

  She will be dearly miss by her son, Bruce (Lonna) Wing; 8 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

  She was preceded in death by husbands: Marlo R. Wing, Dr. Frank Ferguson, Ted Abbott and Edward Paul; children: James B., Martin D. and Randall E.; and grandchildren: Josh and Rick.
