Lois J. Maas

—    Lois J. Maas, age 79, of Janesville, died on Sunday, March 3, 2013, at Lake Shore Inn of Waseca.

  Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 7th at 11:00 A.M. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Janesville with Rev. Dr. Larry Griffin, officiating.  Interment will follow in the St. John's-Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery in Iosco Township, Waseca County.  

 Visitation will be held Wednesday from 4 to 8 P.M. at Arnoldt-McRaith Funeral Home & Crematory in Janesville, and will continue on Thursday morning for one hour prior to services, at church.  

   Lois Junilda was born July 7, 1933, to Edward and Laura (Flitter) Erdman in Iosco Township, Waseca County, Minnesota.  Lois was baptized on August 6, 1933, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Janesville and confirmed on March 30, 1947, at St. John's Lutheran Church, Iosco Township, Waseca County. She attended Waseca County country schools.  From 1954 to 1956 Lois was employed with Birds Eye in Waseca.  She was united in marriage to Kenneth Harvey Maas on November 18, 1956, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Janesville.  Lois and Kenneth farmed and raised their family on the Erdman Farm in Iosco Township. She was lifetime member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Janesville.  Lois enjoyed gardening, genealogy, crafts, reading, and baking bread.  She especially enjoyed time spent with her family.  

   She is survived by her children, Linda Kent (special friend Clair Davis) of St. Peter, Robert (Laura) Maas of Janesville, Ronald Maas (special friend Melissa Brelje) of Minnesota Lake, Richard (Anita) Maas of Waseca, Leann (Michael) Sutlief of Waseca; 15 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; by other relatives and friends.

   She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kenneth on March 13, 1982.
