Mary Ellen (Dodge) Tompkin Hecht

—   Mary Ellen  (Dodge) Tompkin Hecht, age 90, formerly of Mankato, Minnesota, died on July 22, 2012, at Oakwood Village in Madison, Wisconsin.

  She is survived by her two children: Sandra (Bill) Vernon, of Marietta, SC, and Thomas (Nancy) Tompkin of Madison, WI.; her grandchildren Jill (Bryan) Johnson of Edwards, CO, Beth Ann Vernon-Wismer of Buffalo Grove, IL and Billie Vernon III of Marietta, SC; and her great-grandchildren: Bryce Johnson, Ethan Wismer and Luke Vernon.

  She is preceded in death by a son, Scott Tompkin, her first husband Donald Tompkin, her second husband, Frank Hecht, sisters Ruth Ann Petersen, Dorothy Alston, Lucile Conn and Yvonne Ervin, and brother Henry Le Roy Dodge.

  Her final resting place will be in Atlantic, Iowa next to her son Scott at the Atlantic Cemetery.
