Joseph F. "Joe" Lorentz

— Joseph F. "Joe" Lorentz, age 66, of Janesville, died on Wednesday, January 2, 2013, at his home in Janesville.

  Funeral services are being planned for early summer, and will be announced at that time.  Arnoldt-McRaith Funeral Home & Crematory of Janesville is handling arrangements.

  Joseph Francis was born April 10, 1946, in Waseca, Minnesota, to Anton and Elizabeth (Haley) Lorentz.  He was a graduate of Janesville High School. Joe served his country in the United States Navy from September of 1965 until his honorable discharge in September of 1968.  He lived for a short time in San Francisco before returning home to Janesville.  For much of his career Joe worked as a bartender in Janesville, where he managed the American Legion Hall, and later in Waterville.  He was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church in Janesville.  

   He is survived by his sister, Anita (Dale) Schnoor of Casa Grande, AZ, and his brother, Rueben "Tony" (Linda) Lorentz of Coon Rapids; nieces and nephews, and grandnieces and grandnephews.  

  He was preceded in death by his parents.
