Adela Caroline Scheffert, age 92, of Le Center died Tuesday January 8, 2013, at Central Health Care in Le Center. Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2013, from 9 am to 11 am at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Le Center. Funeral Service will also be on Saturday, January 12, 2013, at 11 am at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Le Center. Burial will be at Greenwood Union Cemetery in Le Center.
Adela was born on January 20, 1920, in Dresselville, MN, to Henry and Ida Martha (Tiede) Braun. She was united in marriage to Alfred Scheffert on February 5, 1941, in St. Paul Lutheran Church in Le Center. She worked at Spors Co. and Farmer Seed & Nursery in Le Center.
She enjoyed flower gardens, fishing, cooking and baking, card playing, sewing, quilting, crafts, animals and traveling.
Adela is survived by husband Alfred Scheffert of Le Center, children; Jerry (and Patricia) Scheffert of Le Center and Joan (and Richard) Blaschko of Le Center, grandchildren; Kari (and Jason) Reich, Kelly (and Amy) Blaschko, Kory Blaschko and Randee (and Shawn) Onken and great-grandchildren Emma, Madison, Olivia, Sam, Tyler, Owen and Brenden.
Adela is preceded in death by her parents, daughter Kathleen, sisters; Ella Whipps and Lillian Kiewatt, brothers; Ernie in Childhood, Harold, Ervin, and Art.
