Longtime resident of Mankato, Waldemar L. Wally Bruhn, age 84, died Thursday, January 31, 2013 at Laurels Peak Rehabilitation Center. Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at Woodland Hills Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery.
Wally was born January 1, 1929 in Wisconsin. He grew up on the family farm and liked to tinker and also sew. Wally especially enjoyed his cat, watching TV and sweet foods. When he was able Wally liked the PALS walking program with VINE. He had been employed at the Beauford Mink Farm. Wally later worked at Jones Metal Products in Mankato for 15 years, as a welder.
