Barbara 'Barbie' Enz

—   Barbara (Barbie) J. Enz, age 70, of Eagle Lake, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at Mayo Clinic Health System, Mankato, after having been diagnosed with Cancer on Wednesday, February 13th, 2013.

  A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 2, at 11:00 a.m. at Epiphany Lutheran Church, Eagle Lake, MN, with Pastor Mary Iverson officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 1, from 4:00-7:00 at the church and continue one hour prior to the service at the Church. Interment will be at Woodland Hills Memorial Park.

  Barbara was born on December 13, 1942, in Good Thunder, MN to Clarence and Helen (Mahowald) Zuehlke. She was a 1961 graduate of Grand Rapids High School.  On August 6th, 1961, Barbara was united in marriage to James Enz in North Mankato, MN.  Barbara recently retired from Daycare after 35 years and 80+ daycare children. Barbara had a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone. She will be missed by many.

  Barbara enjoyed reading, crafts, collecting Cherished Teddies, miniature clocks and Red Hat Club events but especially time spent with her family and grandchildren. Barb was a faithful member of Epiphany Lutheran Church for many years and served on many committees.

  Barbara is survived by her husband, James of Eagle Lake; daughters, Tina Marie and Tracy Enz, both of Mankato, MN;  son, Todd Enz of Eagle Lake, MN; 2 grand-daughters, Danielle Wolff of Eugene, OR and Stephanie Wolff, of Mankato, MN; 3 grandsons, Trey Dyslin, of Frost, MN, Dawson Enz and Dylan Enz of Eagle Lake, MN; 1 great-grandson, Alister Arndt, of Mankato, MN; sister Kate (David) Wick of Delavan, MN; also many nieces and nephews.

  Barbara was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Marjorie.

  Woodland Hills Mortuary will be handling the arrangements. A special thank you to the wonderful nursing staff for the care Barbara received the short-time she was at Mayo Health Clinic Systems, Mankato.
