Lori Ann (Reinarts) Haefner

— Lori Ann (Reinarts) Haefner - 57, born in New Ulm to Marvin and Dolores (Ubl) Reinarts. She was the oldest of seven children.

 Lori is survived by her husband, Ron Haefner, of Mankato; children, Shawn (Yvette) Firle of New Ulm, Ryan Firle of Mankato, and Nikki (David) Sowers of New Ulm; stepchildren, Erin Haefner of Kasota, Kaycee (Billy) Hutchinson of New Ulm; grandchildren, Alex, Paige, Tasia, Kaylee, Emma, Marq, Luke, Tylee, Nathan, Abby, Baron, and Nolan; father, Marv Reinarts of New Ulm; siblings, Patti (Mark) LeGare of Lafayette, Julie Reinarts of New Ulm, Gerry (Lorie) Reinarts of New Ulm, Katherine (Myron) Schroepfer of Lake Crystal, Joan (Larry) Giefer of Rochester, and Michael Reinarts of New Ulm; and many uncles, aunts, nieces, and nephews.

  Lori and Ron met and began their union in 1996 and were married in Nov. 2005. Lori had many jobs in her lifetime, but the 23 years she worked at Dittrich Specialties were the most memorable to her. Lori came to work for her husband at his automotive repair shop in Mankato in 2006. She loved working there as it gave her the freedom to have more time to spoil her grandchildren.

 Lori had many loves: her family most of all, flowers, gardening, canning, cooking, music, travel, her kitties, and the wild birds she fed.

  She was preceded in death by her grandson Luke ('07) and her mother Dolores ('08).

  Lori was a source of much laughter, joy, and comfort to all that knew her, and her passing will leave a hole in all of our hearts.

  A funeral mass will be at St. Joseph the Worker at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, February 28, 2013, Father John Wilmot will officiate. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the mass at the church.  A reception will be in the church following the mass. A private burial will be held in late spring.

  We would also like to thank all of the staff at ISJ oncology department and Hospice for their exemplary care and support.

  In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to the Cancer Society, Hospice, or donor's favorite charity.
