Patricia Rivers Garver McMillen

— Patricia Rivers Garver McMillen was born August 25, 1922, to Clarence and Marjorie Rivers in Mankato, MN, and passed away peacefully in Phoenix, AZ, on October 10, 2012.  

  She married Thomas Wayne Garver in 1942.  Tom retired from the Army, and they settled in Phoenix with their six children.  With Tom's passing in 1969, Pat went to work for Arizona Public Service.  

  Following her retirement in 1987, she married Howard McMillen (originally from St. Peter, MN) and relocated to Salem, OR, where she lived for 24 year.

 Her passions were her church, baseball, cooking, bingo and canning fruit.

  Pat was also a member of the Mankato 30-40 Club in Phoenix.  

  Pat is preceded in death by her daugher Janet.  

  She is survived by two sisters, Bev Pearson of Monticello, MN, and Connie Pohl of Mankato, MN and her children, Gloria (Swinney), Thomas, Peggy (Shortridge), Elizabeth and Greg.  She was blessed with 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.  

  Pat loved her family and was a pillar of strength in the difficult times.  She will be greatly missed by all.
