Gladys P. Patterson

— Gladys P. Patterson, age 92, beloved mother and grandmother,    a longtime resident of Richfield, MN, passed away Oct. 19, 2012 at Oak  Terrace Assisted Living Center in North Mankato.

  Born Nov. 18, 1919, in Sioux City, IA to William and Nancy Ellen Winford.

She was a faithful member of

Hope Presbyterian Church in Richfield where she volunteered many years with Vine & Branches Clothing Center.   

  A 30 year member of TOPS, active in Cub Scouts and Girl  Scouts, an avid walker and reader who loved crossword puzzles, knitting,           crocheting, sewing and traveling.

  Preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Norman G. Patterson, 3 brothers and sister. Survived by children Grant (Manda) of New Town, ND, Marsha (Doug) Balfanz of Nicollet, MN and David (Nancy) of Herndon, VA; grandchildren Clint Balfanz, Christy Ellen Balfanz-Rice, Amanda and     Cassandra Patterson, Hannah Ruth and Adam Patterson, and 4 great- grandchildren Scarlett and Petra Balfanz, and Charlie and Kovyn Rice.

  A good friend to many, loved by all who   knew her, she will be greatly missed.     

  Memorial service 11 AM Thursday at Hope Presbyterian Church, 7132 Portland Ave. So.

  Interment will be at a later date at Correctionville, IA.
