Patricia Ann Johnson, age 77, died Sunday, Oct. 7, at Mayo Clinic Health Systems-Mankato, and her husband Forrest Yale Johnson, age 83, died Monday, October 8, 2012, at the Mapleton Community Home in Mapleton, MN.
A double Memorial Service will be held Saturday, October 13, 2012, at 11:00 AM at St. Teresa's Catholic Church in Mapleton, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Father Tim Biren will officiate and burial will take place in Lura Cemetery in Lura Township, Faribault County, MN. See brussheitner.com to leave online condolences. Patricia Ann was born December 13, 1934 the daughter of Frank and Regina (Brady) Nowicki in Blue Earth. The couple married on June 21, 1952 in Blue Earth, MN. Pat took great pride in her family, and was her children's biggest fan. She loved cooking for her children and grandchildren on the Holidays. She enjoyed traveling with her husband to the Amish communities in Missouri and Iowa.
Forrest Yale Johnson was born July 24, 1929, the son of Yale and Agnes (Davis) Johnson, also in Blue Earth, MN. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his children. Gardening, traveling, and watching the Minnesota Vikings were favorite past-times. The couple especially enjoyed their grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren, (20 which are under the age of 7)!
The couple is survived by their children: Mike (Marlene) Johnson of Fairmont, MN, Brian Johnson of Winnebago, MN, Doug (LaNay) Johnson of N. Mankato, MN, Patti (Ken) Stolz of Fort Dodge, IA, Pam (Mark) Braunshausen of Easton, MN; 16 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Pat's siblings: Kay Beyer of MN Lake, MN, Jayne (Harry) Albrecht of Mpls; John Nowicki of Nashville, TN, Rosie Nowicki of Mpls. Forrest's siblings: Ellen (Maynard) Johnson of Storden, MN, Dwight (Ruth) Johnson of Winnebago, MN.
Patricia and Forrest are preceded in death by their parents, Pat's sister: Mary Evelyn (Lowell) Lyon; brother: Lawrence in infancy; brother-in-law: Marlin Beyer; granddaughter Madison Stolz in infancy.
