   Therese J. "Terry" Knudson, age 74, of Waseca, died Monday, October 15, 2012, at Lake Shore Inn of Waseca.

  Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, October 19th at 10:30 A.M. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Waseca, with Fr. Martin Schaefer, Celebrant. Interment will be in Woodville Cemetery, Waseca.

  Visitation will be held on Thursday from 5 to 7 P.M. at McRaith Funeral Home & Crematory in Waseca, and will continue on Friday morning for one hour prior to services at church.

  Therese June was born May 8, 1938, in Chicago, Illinois, to Edmund and June (Williams) Kush, Sr.  She grew up in the Chicago Area, and in 1956 graduated from Genoa High School in Genoa, Illinois.  

  "Terry" was united in marriage to Raymond Olaf Knudson on June 22, 1957, at St. Catherine Catholic Church in Genoa, IL.  For much of their married life Terry and Ray resided in Genoa.  In 1980 the family moved to Osceola, Iowa, and in 1985 to Waseca, Minnesota.  

  Over the years Terry worked as a newspaper journalist.  During her time in Waseca she was an instructor for adults with disabilities, and a coach for Special Olympics.

  She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Waseca, and the Waseca American Legion Auxiliary # 228.  

  Terry had a passion for fishing, hunting and the outdoors, and enjoyed watching the Minnesota Twins and other sporting events.  At the center of her life was her family, and her strong faith.  

  She is survived by her husband Ray; by her children, Mary Jo Knudson of Waseca, and Mike (Roxann) Knudson of Eagle Lake; brother, Jim (Gloria) Kush of Genoa, IL; sister, Susie (Melvin) Drendel of Kingston, IL; sister-in-law, Cheryl Kush of Genoa, IL; by many nieces and nephews and other relatives.

  She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Ed Kush, Jr.; nephew, Tony Kush.
