Lila Bruns

—   Lila Bruns, 77, of New Ulm died Saturday, October 27, 2012 at the Oak Hills Living Center in New Ulm.  Funeral service will be 11 am Wednesday, October 31 at St. Pauls Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Ulm with Pastor Donald Sutton officiating.  Burial will follow in the St. Pauls Lutheran Cemetery in New Ulm.  Visitation will be 4-7 pm Tuesday and 7:30-8:30 am Wednesday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home NORTH CHAPEL in New Ulm and will continue for one hour prior to the time of service at the church on Wednesday.  To sign the guest book or to leave an online condolence for her family, go to www.mvfh.org.

  Lila is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Teri and Francis Sellner of Sleepy Eye, Brenda and Glen Schaefer of Brownton, Pam and Kevin Schabert of Mankato; sons and daughter-in-law, David and Lisa Bruns of New Ulm, Michael Bruns and fiance, Kimberly Hoffmann of New Ulm; six grandchildren; five step grandchildren; five great grandchildren; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Lois and Ronnie Dauffenbach of Grants, New Mexico, Ardis Wills of New Ulm, Richard Bruns of Sleepy Eye, Roger Bruns of Nicollet, Gary and Shirley Bruns of New Ulm, Tom and Ann Bruns of New Ulm; and by many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Myron; brother, Marlowe Grau; grandson, Brandon; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Wally and Sylvia Wills, Harlan Wills, Adeline Bruns, and Lois Bruns.

  Lila Mae Grau was born March 18, 1935 in Sigel Township, Brown County to Roman and Irma (Frank) Grau.  She attended New Ulm Public High School and graduated with the class of 1953.  On September 17, 1955, Lila was united in marriage to Myron Bruns at St. Pauls Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Ulm.  She worked at Highland Manor and Oak Hills Living Center in New Ulm for twenty three years.  Lila loved to embroider, read, watch baseball, and spend time with her friends and family.  www.mvfh.org
