Mary Ann Sauer

Mary Ann Sauer was born into eternal Life on Thursday, September 2, 2010.

She was born on October 21, 1931 in St. Cloud Minnesota, a daughter of Peter L. and Rose (Betz) Gaida. She was married to Sylvester J. Sauer on June 14, 1952. He proceeded her in death on December 26, 1999. Mary Ann was a member of the Church of St. Peter in St. Peter, Minnesota. She was very active in her church working with residents of the local nursing homes and shut-ins, a Eucharistic minister, and a hospice worker. She enjoyed life, her family and especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mary Ann is survived by 7 children, Nancy Kaczrowski, Carol Vande, Richard Sauer, Debora Sauer, Colleen Bell, Timothy Sauer, and Kathy Besst; 21 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mary Ann was preceded in death by 6 sisters and 2 brothers.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Church of Saint Peter, 1801 West Broadway, St. Peter MN, at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, September 6, 2010. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m. at St. Peter Funeral Home - Klein Chapel with a 6:30 p.m. prayer service. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
