Patricia Stevensen, 62, formerly of St. Peter died Friday, August 10, 2012 at the Hillcrest Health Care Center in Mankato. Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in Nicollet with Pastor Ric Jacobsen officiating. Burial will be in the Hebron Cemetery in rural Judson. Visitation will be 4 - 7 p.m. Tuesday and from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in Nicollet. Patricia is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Chad R. and Sheila Stevensen of Mankato; grandsons, Sean Michael Stevensen, Nicholas James Stevensen; mother, Roine Thomas of New Ulm; brothers and sisters-in-law, Allen and Charlie Thomas of Rockford, Lynn and Mary Thomas of Edina; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Daryl and Barb Stevensen, Dave and Annie Loberg all of New Ulm; nieces; and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, John Thomas; husband, Russell "Butch" Stevensen on March 7, 2009; son, Thomas Stevensen on October 13, 2008; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, James and Shirley Stevensen.
Patricia Ann Thomas was born on November 2, 1949 in Fairmont to John W. "Skinny" and Roine (Ristine) Thomas. She was married to Russell James Stevensen from October 15, 1966 to August 16, 1988 and then they remarried on August 19, 2000. Patricia worked for 28 years at Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter in the bakery and then in 1991 she became a switchboard operator and retired in 2011. She enjoyed collecting bells, fixing jigsaw puzzles and framing them, and raising horses with her husband. www.mvfh.org.
