'Tootie' Edith Anna Shaw
October 26, 1931, to October 29, 2012.
"Tootie", 81, went to Heaven in the arms of her daughter to be with her Heavenly Father on Monday, October 29th, 2012, at ISJ Hospital.
She was born at home in Lyra Township on October 26th, 1931, to Bernard and Lola (Strong) Shaw at 7:30 a.m. She was a beacon to all who knew her. She was a homemaker, mother, daughter and friend to all. She always had a helping hand to help those around her even the one's she didn't know. She was the light of her daughter's and grandson life. Her smile & laughter will be genuinely missed.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 4, 2012 at Woodland Hills Chapel in Mankato. Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service.
She is survived by her daughter Patty Shaw, Garden City, MN; 1 grandson Cole Havemeier Shaw, Brother Art Shaw of Garden City, Sisters, Bernice Taylor, Sarah Haroldson both of Mankato, Sister-in-Law, Nadine Shaw, Mankato, MN and many numerous nieces, nephews cousins, and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Brother Duane Shaw, Bill Shaw and brothers-in-law Wallace Taylor, Robert Haroldson and sister-in-law Kathy Shaw.
Her love of life, her ray of sunshine will always be missed but forever treasured in our hearts. Please join us in celebrating her life. Share some of your favorite memories or moments by writing them in your cards for her family to create a memory book.
In lieu of flowers memorials are being accepted for a Burial fund. This has been set up at TCF Bank on Broad Street under Edith Shaw.
