  Joseph Michael Bracht went home to be with his Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ on 6-1-2012.

  The celebration of Joe's life with us and his new wonderful eternal life with the Lord will be at the Eagle lake American Legion on Friday June 8th from 1pm to 3pm .        

Joseph was born on 4-20-1929 to Joseph and Myrtle Bracht in Mankato . Joe married Colleen Jeanette Murphy on 9-30-1950 , they had 6 children and enjoyed many years of camping and traveling with the family . Joe was an electrician with various companies including R.W. electric ,Mankato electric , Hoffman electric and Prior Lake electric . He also built and sold 7 homes during that time . He and Colleen later owned and operated Thomas Electric and the Pierce Plaza office building in North Mankato . He also became a partner in earth sheltered home building and after retiring became a part time driver for Kato Cab for several years . Joe was a member of the Eagles , Lions and Moose clubs and also went to the # 11 , # 518 and Eagle lake American Legion clubs often. Joe and Colleen were married 35 years and had 6 children until Colleen's passing in 1986 . Joe later married Annette Smith and had 1 child .

  Joe is survived by his 6 children from Colleen , daughters :  Joleen and ( Jerry ) Ball , Debbie and ( Mark ) Lovelace , Cindy and ( Dan ) Gabler , Kelly and ( Mark ) Ferguson , also daughter Kimberly Bracht from his marriage to Annette Smith . Sons : Mike and ( Debbie ) Bracht and Steve Bracht  , also 13 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren . Joe was a very kind , loving , compassionate and generous man, loved by many friends and family and will be deeply missed.
