Kaye L. Allen

— Kaye L. Allen, age 66, of Belle Plain, MN, formerly of Mankato, died peacefully, surrounded by her family, Friday, November 30, 2012, at the Oaklawn Health Care Center in Mankato. Memorial services will be at Noon, Friday, December 7, 2012, at Woodland Hills Funeral Chapel in Mankato. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Woodland Hills Memorial Park.

  Kaye was born October 8, 1946, to Chester L. and Evalyn K. (Oney) Klawitter in Mankato. Kaye was a 1964 graduate of Mankato High School. She was a member of the Y- Teen Counsel, Phi Omega, FHA and the Yell Club. She then attended Mankato Commercial College with a degree in accounting. During her career she was an Accountant at Patterson Lumber, was with Quality Control at Precision Press and a Dispatcher for NuStar Freight Services Inc.

  Kaye had many attributes, but one that stands out and will always be remembered was her practical joking. She also loved her pets. She would be seen with one or more of the several German Shepherds she owned over the years or later with a huge St. Bernard named Otis. Kay also loved outdoor activities like, horseback riding, motorcycle riding, fishing, camping, and going for drives but especially time spent at the park watching her dogs.

  She is survived by her significant other, Bruce Niederkofler of Belle Plain; Bruce's daughter, Nikki Pucik of Madison Lake; Bruce's grandson, Tommy Lee Pucik of Madison Lake; sister, Jill Peterson of Mankato; nephews, Troy Briar, Marc Briar and Eric Peterson; a host of many, many friends.

  She was preceded in death by her son, Donnie Allen, Jr. and her parents, Evelyn and Chester L. Klawitter.
