Lifelong Mankato resident, Ruth Flanagan, age 95, died Sunday, December 23, 2012, at Pathstone Living. Private family services will be held.
Ruth was born June 4, 1917, in Mankato to Gustav and Lydia (Stone) Frank. She grew up and attended school in Mankato. In 1934 Ruth was united in marriage to Delbert Flanagan. During her early working years she worked as a cook and later was employed at Valley News Company until her retirement. In her leisure time she enjoyed cooking, baking, crocheting, and watching baseball. She especially loved spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and the YMCA Mothers Club.
Ruth is survived by her son, Jerome (Pat) of Mankato, seven grandchildren; and sister, Bonnie (Harold) Ackman of Waseca.
She is preceded in death by her husband, daughter and son in-law, Joanne and Paul Laven; and brothers, Leon and Eddie Frank.
