William "Bill" Stevermer

—   William "Bill" Stevermer, age 74, of Blue Earth, MN, died Monday, December 31, 2012.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, January 5, 2013, at 11:00 AM at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Blue Earth, MN.  Father Leo Kappola will officiate and burial will be in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Cemetery- Barber Twp., Faribault Co, MN. Visitation will be held Friday, Jan. 4, from 4:00-7:00 PM at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Blue Earth, with a prayer service at 7:00 PM. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Please see www.brussheitner.com to leave online condolences. Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells, MN, is in charge of arrangements.

  William Clement Stevermer was born June 4th, 1938, the son of William H. and Lucille (O'Rourke) Stevermer in Easton. He graduated from Wells High School in 1956 and the University of MN, School of Agriculture in 1958.  He served in the US Army from 1958-1960.  He returned to the Easton area to farm and married his love, Mary Catherine LaCanne on September 28, 1963

    Bill is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Cathy of Blue Earth, MN; 8 children: Theresa (Dan) Sweers of W. Des Moines, IA, Joe (Teresa) Stevermer of Easton, Marie (Curt) Vajgrt of Urbandale, IA, Colleen (Matt) Vukovich of Brookings, SD, Mike (Amy) Stevermer of Easton, Deb (Garett) Lammers of Waukesha, WI, Brad (Heidi) Stevermer of Easton, Cheryl (Tyler) Sonnek of Shakopee, MN; 24 grandchildren;  2 brothers: Thomas of Blue Earth, Dr. Emmett (wife Mary) of Ames, IA, 3 sisters: Sister Mary Owen of Mankato, Irene Mikkalson of Burnsville, Alice (Lawrence) Killion of Mankato, MN; sister-in-law: Margaret Stevermer of Easton, uncle: Clem "Bud" Stevermer of Wells. Along with many nieces, nephews and their families as well as cousins and close friends.
