Alice Sunthimer

— Alice Sunthimer, age 90 of Apple Valley and formerly of St. Peter, died Saturday, January 5, 2013, at Augustana Health Care Center in Apple Valley.

  Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 9, 2013, at Mankato Mortuary with Rev. Dennis Heiden officiating. Burial will be in Pilgrims Rest in Mankato. Visitation will be one hour before the service on Wednesday.

  Alice was born October 31, 1922, to Fred and Minnie (Witte) Mathwig in Traverse near St. Peter, Minnesota. Alice was united in marriage to Robert Sunthimer in 1942 in Las Vegas, NV. She was a homemaker for her family and a caring person. She enjoyed dog racing and Mystic Lake.

 Alice is survived by her three brothers, Henry Mathwig of Waldorf, MN, Richard Mathwig of Mankato, and Bobby (Gerri) Gjerde of Savage, MN; sister-in-law, Ethel Mathwig of St. Peter; brother-in-law Duane Enfield of Burnsville, MN; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Robert, and son, Robert Ray.
