Lisa Marie Nelsen

    Lisa Marie Nelsen, age 44, passed into Jesus arms on January 16, 2013, after a long, well fought battle against breast cancer.

  Memorial Service will be 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 21, 2013, at Hosanna Lutheran Church in Mankato. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service at the church. Northview - North Mankato Mortuary is assisting the family with arrangements.

   Lisa was born in Fairmont, MN, on February 1, 1968. She graduated from Mankato West in 1986. Lisa Marie married Roger Oachs in 1997 and later divorced but remained friends.

  Lisa worked at Pearle Vision and Sears Optical until cancer forced her to retire in February of 2009.

 Survived by her son, Christopher Oachs; mother, Myrna (Lynn) Braun of North Mankato; brother, James (Michelle) Gieser of Maryland; nephews and nieces: Jacob, Jessica, and Daniel Gieser; step-sisters: Candi (Mike) Scott, Cari (Vic) Prado, Roberta (Tom) Braun, Cousin/Sister: Kathy (Brent) Hanson; special friend, Gino Lowe; special supportive cousins, Kevin and Julie Woizeschke; Godparents: Gayleen Woizeschke and Kent Dunker; aunts, uncles, cousins and the girls.

   She was preceded in death by her father, Gerald Gieser; step-brother, Mark Braun; four grandparents; three aunts; and two uncles.
