Betty Louise Krenz

— Betty Louise Krenz, age 77, of Le Sueur, died on Sunday, January 20, 2013, at the Minnesota Valley Health Care Center in Le Sueur.  Funeral services will be on Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013, 11:00 a.m. at Zion United Church of Christ in Le Sueur.  Services will be officiated by Rev. Jean Sidner & Rev. Sara Hein.  Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at the church from 9:00 a.m. -11:00 a.m.   Interment will follow the lunch at Brown Cemetery in Henderson, MN.

  Betty was born on Jan. 10, 1936, in St. Peter, MN, to Philip & Caroline (Meyer) Bauer.  She was raised in the Le Sueur area and graduated from Le Sueur High School in 1953.  She married Herb Krenz on Oct. 8, 1955, at Assembly of God Church in St. Peter, MN.  The couple has lived in Le Sueur for the past 57 years.  Betty worked various jobs while raising her children.  She spent many of those years with Green Giant, Pillsbury & General Mills.  She retired in 1999 and began a part time job with the Presbyterian Church in Le Sueur as a secretary.  She was a member of the Naomi Circle at Zion U.C.C. and helped with Meals on Wheels.  She especially enjoyed time with her family, grandchildren and her beloved cat Candie.

  She is survived by her husband, Herb; Children;Gerald (Ruth) Krenz of Blaine, MN, Tim Krenz of Le Sueur, MN, Jody (Terry) Winters of Le Sueur, MN, Rick (Jen) Krenz of Mankato, MN; Grandsons; Bryan Winters & his special friend Cassie Efta & her daughter Halle  of St. Peter, MN; Adam Winters of Le Sueur, MN; Matthew Krenz of Lakeland, FL & Nathan Krenz of Blaine, MN, 2 Step-Granddaughers; Lauren Winters & Alex Duzan of Mankato, MN, Great-Granddaughter;    Hailee Winters of Mankato, MN, Sister; Muriel (James) Heidemann of Le Center, MN, Brother; Philip Jr. (Karen) Bauer of Rosemont, MN, Sisters-in-Law; Leona (Harlan) Laabs of Belle Plaine, MN, Joanne (Vern) Morschen of Chaska, MN, Many nieces and nephews.

  She is preceded in death by her parents, Philip & Caroline; brother, George & his wife Gladys Bauer, nephew, Gary Heidemann. Mother & father-in-law, George & Angela Krenz.
